We’ve got another big weekend on top in prep football, volleyball and soccer action here in Great Falls and around the state.

GFH is on the road at Skyview, while CMR plays host to Senior. The Rustlers, somehow voted third in the first AA power poll despite beating No. 2 Capital last week, will look to win their third straight after a stunning opening-night loss at Butte.

The Bison are also coming off a win, their first of the season last week at Flathead.

Dan Mediate will be at Memorial Stadium for the CMR-Senior game while Jesse Geleynse will be at Fairfield, where the defending champion Eagles play host to the No. 4 Glasgow Scotties.

You can also watch our first weekly prep videocast here as Dan, Scott and Jesse discuss the week that was.

Speaking of the prep football polls, you can check out colleague Slim Kimmel’s post here where he gives the rankings and reveals his vote.

And if you haven’t done so already, check out this story on former Great Falls High and MSU star Bobby Howard by Gidal Kaiser of the Bozeman Chronicle.

Belt senior Gus Anderson, who had a solid game last week and was mentioned in our Regional Prep Spotlight, was named the KRTV Athlete of the Week.

As far as the AA prep volleyball poll goes, you can find that below:

1.  Billings Senior (12)

2.  Helena High

3.  Billings Skyview

4.  Kalispell Glacier

5.  Kalispell Flathead

Also receiving votes (in order): Helena Capital, Bozeman, and Missoula Sentinel.
